Wanda Kirker is passionate when it comes to health and nutrition. She took on the task to learn all she could about nutrition when her son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of six. He is now a healthy thriving young man who played college lacrosse.
She has a bachelor’s degree of science in Public Health with a focus on nutrition and is certified in sports nutrition. Wanda also incorporates physical activity into her life, she enjoys personal training and works at the Keene Family YMCA teaching weightlifting for women, her goal is to empower women to have confidence to strengthen themselves for better health. Wanda ran a successful residential clean business for 20 years while raising her three sons and finishing her college degree.
She is enthusiastic about a healthy lifestyle, not only does she enjoy strength training, but she does obstacle course races too, most recently competing in a 24-hour OCR in the desert. You can also find her out kayaking on the river, she completed the Connecticut and Suwanee rivers last year, paddling and camping from the source of the river out to the sea.
She is excited about her new role working for The Abbey Group, bringing great energy to Jaffery-Rindge Cooperative Schools, working with the students on a path of nutrition, not only in school but for a lifetime.
